CONSULTING
BIM consulting to fix what is getting in your firm’s way
Migra’s consulting helps architecture firms pin down problems, find the best way out of them and guide their teams through putting the fix in place.
WHERE MIGRA HAS BEEN

THE STARTING POINT
When there is one specific problem to solve
Your firm already uses Archicad, but something is not working the way it should.
It might be a file that has got heavy, an IFC that never exports properly, a DWG translator that needs tweaking on every delivery, information that never reaches the schedule, or a step in the process that keeps producing rework.
That is what consulting is for: understanding what is going on, finding the cause and showing your team the best way to fix it.

THE PROBLEMS
The problems we solve
Archicad has become just 3D modeling
The team delivers, the project goes out, and still there is the feeling that the software does far more than you are using.
There is a template, and it does not work
It grew by accumulation, or it was bought ready-made and never fitted the way the firm designs. The result is rework on every delivery.
The firm uses Archicad and still loses time
The team works in the software, but projects did not get faster. We come in to find out where the productivity is going.
The files have got heavy and slow
And nobody in the firm can say why.
The team gets stuck on the same things
They already work in Archicad, but the confidence is missing when a question comes up that nobody can answer.
IFC causing trouble every time
Problems with import, export and coordination with the other disciplines.
The DWG translator was never set up properly
So somebody has to fix and tidy the drawing by hand before every delivery.
You want quantities out of the model and the information is not there
The numbers do not add up, because the information was never structured to be read properly.
A new Archicad version is out
Deciding whether to upgrade now, and what to do with projects under way and with the template.
If whatever is holding your firm up is not on this list, we can probably still help. Get in touch and tell us about it.
HOW IT WORKS
How our BIM consulting runs:
You bring the problem
You explain what is happening and, where needed, show the file or the process involved.
We find the solution
We work with you to understand the cause and find the best route. That can happen live, or we can look at it offline and send you the findings afterwards.
Your team puts it in place
The guidance is built so you can apply the fix inside your own firm.
Consulting is charged by the hour and there is no minimum. It happens live, with a Migra specialist working directly on your files and your firm’s situation.
WHO IT IS FOR
Who the consulting is for
It is for the firm that:
- already uses Archicad day to day and has one specific problem to solve
- wants to equip the team to solve a problem, guided by people with more experience
- has already been through implementation and wants to keep developing the team
- needs one technical decision made well, not a whole project
It is not for anyone who:
- is moving to Archicad right now (see Implementação)
- wants Migra to build the template and hand it over finished (see Template)
- needs to train the whole team (see Treinamento)
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Frequently asked questions
Implementation is a wider project that changes processes, template and the team’s skills. Consulting solves one specific point for people already working in Archicad. See the implementation page.
Yes. In a consultation we review your file, note what needs attention and guide your team through the adjustments. If the template needs a full restructure and cannot be fixed piece by piece, we will say so. If you would rather have Migra build a template for you, see the page on Template.
By the hour, with no minimum. On the intro call we look at the case and estimate how long it will take. You can also buy a package, which works as a block of hours.
No. We work with any firm that already uses Archicad.
In some cases, yes. It is not always possible to tell why a file is slow, or why the IFC does not come out right, without opening it. Where that is needed, we sign a confidentiality agreement.
Usually within two days at most.
Always live, with a specialist from the team.
There is no limit.
We work with firms anywhere in the world, always online.
No. If what is holding your firm up takes an hour to solve, it is an hour.
It happens, and we say so there and then. Sometimes the right answer is a larger piece of work, sometimes it is a simple decision the firm makes on its own after the conversation.
