FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What firms ask before they book

Is the training in person or online?

Online and live. The team takes part from wherever it is, which lets firms with more than one office train together.

How do the hours fit into the team’s schedule?

It is agreed with the firm before we start, around the team’s availability. On the full training, the minimum we recommend is two two-hour sessions a week, which puts the 40 hours at around ten weeks. Teams with more room fit in more sessions and finish sooner.

Are the sessions recorded?

On training booked by a firm, yes: they are recorded and the firm keeps access afterwards, to go back to or for people who join the team later. On scheduled courses, no, because they bring together people from different firms.

Is there a certificate?

Yes, we issue a certificate of attendance.

Do we need a licensed copy of Archicad before we start?

You do not have to have bought the license beforehand. We show you how to get the trial version, and the educational version for students.

Does the team need to know anything beforehand?

On the full training, no: it starts from zero and was built for people coming from other software or from CAD. The workshops assume you already use Archicad day to day.

Does the training use our firm’s template?

If the firm already has a template, yes, the training happens inside it. If not, we use the template that ships with Archicad and show how to tailor each part to the firm’s practice. If what you want is a template genuinely built for the firm, that is our custom template.

What is the difference between training and implementation?

Training brings the team up to speed on the tool. Implementação changes how the firm works: process, standards, template, libraries, with the training as part of it. If the complaint is "the team does not know how to use it", that is training. If it is "every project comes out differently", that is implementation.
