CUSTOM TEMPLATE
Every firm is different. Your Archicad template should be too
An Archicad template built for the way your firm works. We build the file structure, preset your standards and tune the modeling workflows around your processes and what your team needs.
WHERE WE HAVE STANDARDIZED ARCHICAD

THE STARTING POINT
The file nobody knows the contents of
Almost every firm using Archicad has a file that somebody once called the template. It probably started as a project that went well, got saved as a base and has been copied from project to project ever since, collecting plants, surfaces, objects and libraries nobody remembers the reason for.
Working from that base leads to the same problems every time: hours spent readjusting the same things on every delivery, each architect producing documentation their own way, sheets that look different depending on who laid them out, and a lot of effort setting up what should already have been set up. None of this is the team falling short. It happens because that file is not a proper template.

HOW WE BUILD IT
Before we configure anything, we work out how the firm designs, documents, organizes information and delivers its projects. From there we turn the firm’s processes and standards into an automated template structure that the team can genuinely use day to day.
WHAT GOES INTO YOUR TEMPLATE
Every piece of it comes from the way your firm works
Attributes and standards
Surfaces, Building Materials, Complex Profiles, Pens, Line Types, Fills, Composites and every other attribute organized around the firm’s standards, so that two different people draw the same thing the same way.
Favorites
Preset elements that speed up modeling and documentation and keep projects consistent with one another.
View Map
Views organized and set up to make documentation and presentation easier: plans, sections, elevations, enlargements, schedules, legends and every other document Archicad can produce.
Layout Book
Sheets, title blocks and settings structured for the firm’s presentation standard.
Publisher
Publisher sets organized to make issuing documents faster and more consistent.
DWG and IFC translators
Import and export settings matched to the firm’s workflows and interoperability needs.
Organization structure
Layer combinations and view filters already set up, so each plan comes out finished without adjustment on every project.
Training for the team
The template is not simply handed over. The team learns how to use it and fold it into the firm’s routine.
Automation scripts
Scripts that cut repetitive work inside Archicad.
What comes with it, at no extra cost
Libraries of furniture, appliances, sanitaryware and fittings, ready to use in your projects.
WHY MIGRA
Migra has implemented Archicad in more than 200 firms in Brazil and Portugal. The template we build today is the result of the standards, problems and solutions we have met over those years.
WHO IT IS FOR
Who the custom template is for
It is for the firm that already uses Archicad and:
- has a template that is a mess and has to be reconfigured on every new project
- feels it is not getting everything BIM has to offer
- sees every project come out differently, with no clear standard
- already has a clear standard, but wants to improve it and automate the process
It is not for anyone who:
- has yet to move to Archicad, or needs training and support to get the team into BIM safely (see Implementação)
- only wants to learn the software (see Treinamento)
- has specific questions about setup (see Consulting)
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Frequently asked questions
Implementation includes all the training and the support through the team’s first BIM projects. It exists to make migrating safe. The template starts somewhere else: the team already knows Archicad, and what is missing is a file worthy of it, one that lets you use everything the software offers. If it is not clear which of the two is your case, we help work out what you need on the intro call. See the implementation page.
It depends on the state of it. Some templates only need reorganizing and completing; others carry so much inheritance from old projects that starting again is faster and safer. We review the file you use today, show you our findings and recommend a route, with the reasoning. The final decision is always the firm’s. And if you would rather your own team made the fixes, with our guidance instead of our hands on the file, that is Consulting.
Around 2 months, depending on the firm’s scope of work and how complex the current standard is.
No. The template is built alongside production, and the switch happens once the team is trained to use it.
Yes. The template does not change because of that; the firm’s way of working is taken into account in the setup.
The team leaves the training knowing how to update the template. If the firm would rather not do that in house, updating it is a service we provide too.
